About Me

I am a lecturer in game development at the dBs Institute of Sound & Digital Technologies. My teaching is focused on the programming aspects of game development and the principles of computing that apply to it.

In addition, I conduct research in virtual world application development for the benefit of supporting human activities in-world and improving the human condition in the real world. I am particularly interested in virtual world applications that blend virtual reality with reality and their application to domains such as entertainment, health, emergency response and so on.

My past roles include associate lecturer in computer science, researcher in the design of virtual worlds and software developer for the creative industry.

I hold a PhD in Computer Science with a specialisation in the design of virtual world applications from Anglia Ruskin University, an MSc in Information Systems from the University of Sheffield and a BSc in Information Systems from London Metropolitan University.
